Everything ! It’s located just a 20 minute walk into the city . Shopping mall close by AND for anyone needing to do laundry they was a very interesting but functional out door laundrette located in the shopping area . We ate dinner in the hotel on our first night and it was fantastic! My husband is a veg/ vegetarian and even he was pleased. All the staff but particularly the Front desk staff were so helpful. No question they didn’t have an answer for. Where to eat in Galway, what bus to catch to get into the city and where. Every suggestion was spot on. Laura Anne in particular went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay in Galway!

Exceptional staff make this hotel a wonderful place to stay…and the gluten free breakfast for us as celiacs was absolutely outstanding. We had a full Irish including GF black pudding and sausages, plus gluten free pancakes and jam/cream scones were also provided. I can confidently say this was the best gluten free hotel/B&B breakfast we have ever had, anywhere in the world! Thank you to the kitchen staff for working so hard to give us celiacs equal food provision! Very close to Galway city as well, either driving in to park (very easy 10 minute drive) or catching the bus from outside the hotel.

This was our 4th visit to The Menlo. We came over for granddaughter's christening in Balliasloe. We were allocated an accessible room as requested when booking the hotel. We received a warm welcome on arrival at the reception desk. My sister joined us for the weekend and we'd arranged to have a meal in the Bar when she arrived. The bar was extremely busy, unfortunately we hadn't booked a table and we were directed to the residents bar until one became available. The meal was excellent and the bar staff were very pleasant.

The whole hotel and rooms were modern, comfy, inviting, spacious and elegant. Very comfy beds and beautiful bathroom facilities. The breakfast buffet was absolutely perfect, with a wonderful choice of everything and even a special table and section with gluten-free cereals, pancakes and bread. What a treat. :-) We had dinner in the restaurant on Easter Sunday and had the most phenomenal meal - everything absolutely delicious and a wonderful selection for coeliacs as well. A huge carpark right outside the front door.

The staff were excellent, well trained and very customer focused, every interaction was very positive and helpful. We had food in both the bistro and as part of a function and both meals were excellent. As a non-meat eater I really appreciated the choices that were available to me, the vegetarian burger in the bistro was the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant, normally the efforts to make a good vegetarian type burger are poor but I was really delighted with my choice, compliments to the chef :-)
